Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Doctors (ND) have a unique perspective. Although they specialize in natural medicine, they are also well trained in conventional medicine. This enables them to provide a balanced view about your health concerns – integrating scientific research with the healing powers of nature. The primary goal of Naturopathic Medicine is to prevent disease. However, once a disease state is reached, ND’s then focus on uncovering the root cause of disease. This is accomplished by looking at the whole person, taking into account the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of their health. ND’s have a variety of treatment options that are designed to work with the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. These treatments are gentle and natural while proving to be safe and effective. Training for Naturopathic Doctors includes several different treatment modalities. These modalities are Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Hydrotherapy, Lifestyle Counseling, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
